The world shook as he yanked the knife out of my sunken stomach. As if starving me wasn’t enough, he had to stab me multiple times until I told him what he wanted. I swiped my raven hair out of my crystalline eyes and pulled him close to me.
I could understand how I fell for his trap. He was gorgeous. He had straight, charcoal hair with tints of muddy brown that fell nonchalantly into his warm chocolate eyes. His smile was arrogant, yes, but the kind of arrogance that makes you like him more. He was strong, but not built, tall, but not a giant, and gentle, but not girly. He’s like a dream.
As I pulled him closer, my heart soared. Yes, he did try to murder me, but he was so kind about it. I was in love with him. He dropped the knife as I whispered into his ear.
“Elias, the money is…” I lead on.
“Yes, Lula? Where is it?” he begged, his hands pinning my wrists to the cold warehouse floor.
“It’s… It’s somewhere.” I laughed.
He screamed in frustration as I gasped for air. The gashes in my stomach continually let the red blood seep out, causing me to feel light-headed.
“Now could you please stop the bleeding, E-li-as? It hurts me. You don’t want your number one girl hurt do you, E-li-as?” I calmly stated, stretching out his name the way he liked it and hoping he’d make the pain stop.
He poured antiseptic over all five of the gashes, causing me to scream in agony. He laughed and kissed my forehead. Tears came to my eyes when he lifted me up and wrapped sticky gauze around my middle. When he finished, I wrapped my arms around his neck so he could carry me to my cell. He laid me down on the steel table that served as my bed.
“My poor, poor Lula” he began, stroking my cheek. “If you want this torture to end, Darling, all you have to do is tell me where you hid the money. Please, Gorgeous, tell me and we can be together.”
He leaned in and kissed me. I kissed back, wrapping my arms, gently, around his waist.
“Please? I just want to be with you!” he pleaded against my lips. “Tell me, and this can all be over.”
“Okay, Elias.” I cried, hating the part that I knew was coming up. “It’s in me. Doctor Malevolence sewed it into the inside of my stomach”
He thought for a moment. He gently kissed my neck, then cheek, then forehead, and finally lips. I was sure his greed would come before me, so I made our last kiss count. I kissed him with more passion than ever.
“I can’t do this. I love you more than money, Lula. I may be crazy, but I need you more than money.” he exclaimed, almost whispering. “I need you.
I didn’t wait for more. I kissed his cheek. He climbed upon the table and sat next to me. I was crying from the shock.
“No! Don’t cry! I hate tears! No more tears!” he screamed, shaking my shoulders. I saw the rage and fear within his eyes and quickly wiped away the tears. He pulled me up to where I was sitting next to him and kissed me violently. I closed my eyes, hoping he’d forget that I’d cried.
After about half an hour, he pulled away. That was when I noticed the handle of a knife creeping its way out of his jean pocket. He snatched it up and I screamed when he stabbed my stomach over and over again.
“No! More! Tears!” Elias bawled, pulling and pushing the knife in and out. He cried as my body went limp in his arms.
“Lula. No. I didn’t mean it. You can cry. I’m sorry!” he whispered into my cold, dead neck. “I’m so sorry!”
He kissed my lifeless lips once more before he thrust the knife into his chest, killing him instantly.
