I took a walk through the park one day to smoke a cigarette

Trying to take a walk through

the park

before the sun goes down

dark

filled with the hounds

that surround

the grounds

infesting

those pestering pests

festering in jest

Just trying to have a smoke

but there’s no hope

this New York City

trope

look at all them gloating

floating above the rest

you’re not the best

I’m the best

give your spirit a rest

The yellow birds sing

but you can’t hear them singing

above all the ringing

the sirens

the tyrants

the wannabee Lord Byron’s

and Dylan

both Dylan’s

go occupy your villains

fuck this place

but I love you
