Have  you  ever  experience  the  "good"  feeling  that  comes  within  while reuniting  with  loved  ones?  I  have,  and  I  must  say  that  it  is  the  greastest feeling  I  have  ever  felt.  To  reunite  wih  your  family,  is  to  have  a  family reunion.  A  lot  of  families  consider  a  reunion  as  a  tradition;  this  includes  my  family.  Out  of  the  collection  of  traditions  within  my  family, The  Jackson-Caldwell  Reunion  has  always  been  my  favorite.  I'll  share  with  you activities  that  the  tradition consist  of,  when-where  it  takes  place,  and  why  I  enjoy  it  most.First,  on  Fridays  we  attend  a  banquet  which  usually  takes  place  at  the  civic  center.  This  is  when  the  family  meets  to  greet  and  show  appreciation through  poetry  and  speeches  for  one  another.  Everyone  pitches  in  to  have  plaques  purchased  for  the  family  members  who  conducted  the  reunion  for  the  year  in  which  it  took  (takes)  place.  During  Saturday,  we  go  to  the  park  to  barbeque,  while  doing  so  the  younger  kids  recieve  the  chance  to  play  vollyball,  on  the  swing-sets,  play  board  games,  and  etc.  Whereas,  the adults  have  a  chance  to  play  card  games  and  conversate  about  the  lastest  news  happenings  in  their  household.  Also,  this  is  where  my  family  spirits  fill  the  air,  from  the laughter  here  and  the  cries  there.  When  Sunday  arrives  this  is  the  day  that  we  go  to  church.  Being  that  we  have  two  pastors,  a  reverend,  and  three  deacons  in  our  family,  church  service  is  a  well  appreciated actually  within  the  tradition.  During  the  service  two  different  sermons  are given.  Prasie  songs  are  song  by  our  family  chior,  and commuion  is  given  to  the  entire  family  as a  cleansing  for  the  body  andsoul.  One  pastor  gives a  family  pray  at  the  end,  while  we all join hands.Secondly,  my  favorite  tradition  doesn't  always  takes  place  in  Tallahasse, Florida.  In  fact,  my  family's  goal  is  to  have  this  Reunion  in  states  thoughtout  the  entire  world.  A  reunion  has  taken  place  in  Fort  Myers,  Fort  Lauderdale,  Washington, D.C.,  and  New York  City  thus  far.  In  Fort  Myers  there  was  a  lot  of  fun  things  to  do.  We  had  the  chance  to  visit  on  the  beach  and  build  sand  castles.  We  also  collected  shells  to  trade  with  afamily  member  as  a  symbolic  treasure.  Fort Lauderdale  is  also  a  great  place  to  vocate  with  family.  Reason  being  there  a lot  of  reasonable  outlet  stores  in  this  town  and  we  always  buy  souviners  to  share  with  the  family. Also,  the  weather  is  great,  which  is  important  to  my  family  because  we  don't  enjoy  traveling  to  a  city  that  has  harsh  weather,  it  effects  our  mood  swings.  Meanwhile,  in  Tallahassee,  being  that  is  the  home  of  several  relatives  and including  myself,  it  is  a  place  of  comfort  for  all  of us  all. However,  we  watch  movies  while  eating  popcorn  and  drinking  soda  pop. Finally,  I  enjoy  my  family  reunion  because  we  meet  together,  laugh  together,  and  pray  together.  A  family  reunion  consist of greeting  and  sharing.  Sometimes  you  meet  some  family  members  you  never  saw  before  and  that makes  me  feel  good.  In  addition,  we  when  one  family  member  may  feel  sad,  I'm  the  kind of  person  that  will  lift  them  up.  Meanwhile,  old  memorieswould  be  another  reason  why  I  enjoy  this  tradition  so  much.  I  always  smile  and  sometimes  cry  at  some  of  the  family  sharing  that is  talked  about.  Most  of  all,  stories  are  told  to  the  younger  children  about  our  family  history. Also  pray, "yes"  can  be  the  key  to  everything.  It  can  open  your  eyes  and  even  make  you  cry.  I  enjoy  pray  because  when  you  ask  God  to  forgive you  I  feel  whole.  We  pray  to  make  the  family  strong  and  thank  him  for  letting  us get  togethter  one  more  time. In  brief,  it's  a  great  filling to  together  with  all  of  your  family  members.  However,  I  like  the  fact  that  we  have this  tradition  all over.  I  like  how  they  knowlege  our  kids  with  our family  history.  The  activites and  ideas  that  they  come  up  with  keeps my  family  together  and strong.  Last,  but  not  least  I  enjoy  my  whole  entire  family.  This  is my  favorite  tradition  The  Jackson-Caldwell  Family  Reunion.
