I gaze up at the sky and
see night tossing a blanket over the day.
It's silky, silvery sheen reflects upon the trees,
which stand so still.
All of a sudden a mouse runs across-
waking the trees from their long sleep.
The branches groan as the wind rushes through them.
Dawn shows itself once again and
lifts away the blanket.
