For dreams will hold us

in the arms of night

Leaving behind what's done

in the light

And time that passes while

we sleep

Forever near my heart you keep

So as the darkness

overwhelms my sight

Shadows begin to dance

The music that begins inside my heart

The questions are given there chance

A world beyond complication

and pain

Devours me in its wave

The night embraces my hopes and fears

To give me strength for another day.

If only starlight was enough

to give the world its life

and every "good night" strong enough

to carry us through the night.

So as I'm held there in my dreams

a soft and gentle state

I give myself to deepening salvation

Where nothings as it seems

Good night to every tear I've shed

I release all fear and hurry

Fall gently into this comforting bed

Where I no longer have to worry.
