Finding time to admire

Run my fingers through your hair

Waiting patiently

With raised anticipation

To find peace inside the fire

Holding on to past

And waiting for the future

with desire impatient

For a better tomorrow

Waiting up late at night

Expecting something different

To take hold of  me

Inside wrapped expectation.

Never overcoming, past mistakes

searching for the answers

press my body close to yours

lost for explanations

Wanting your kisses to absolve me

For shame to wash away

Hoping that the future

Has more light in your eyes

than fear.
