After an unknown virus surfaces in the small town of Clay, Alabama, the town is put on lock-down in hopes to stop it from spreading. Despite all attempts to contain it, the virus spreads and infected towns were quarantined and examined. When no signs or indications could separate who was healthy and who was infected the quarantined towns were exterminated. The remaining survivors gathered in towns across Texas, as it appears to be the only place unaffected by the virus that consumed more than half the country. The surrounding countries around the U.S. built walls in a desperate attempt to keep the virus contained to one country, and in fear for their countries all transportation in or out of the United States was disabled.
