God created Man.

God created many different kinds of people. He awarded some with beauty, and a few with ugliness. He bestowed some with intelligence, and a few with folly. He granted some with compassion, and a few with malice. He gave some a mixture of characters, good ones to some, bad ones to some, and a balance of both to others.

Then He started giving the last of all His creations their character. He gave them a pure heart and a clear mind. He rewarded them with the power of emotions, thoughts and words, and gave them confidence, honesty and loyalty. He gifted them with friendliness and pleasantness, nobility and morality. He made them just and kind, adorable and smart, fortunate and content and presented them with the vigor to make others happy. These, the final of all His creations, were the finest of all the humans that He had created, and the ones he held favorite. He called them “The Beautiful”, after all the beautiful characters they possessed.

That day, when He was done creating all Men, He went to His bed to sleep. Resting there, He congratulated Himself for having created such excellent humans. He dreamed about them all night. The next morning, He woke up and He was still praising Himself when He realized how He had fallen in love with the beings that He had created. He thought to Himself, “If I, being God, can fall in love with these creatures of mine, it is certain that the people of the world will too.”

So, He called The Beautiful and made them all stand in front of Him. He said to them “My beloved, I will not hesitate to confess that you are the unmatched of all the people I created and my favorites too.  Since you are so nice, it is definite that all people will fall in love with you – good or bad – and I do not want that. I do not want people to take you for granted. I want them to understand your value; I want them to realize what you are worth. To do that I will have to give you one more thing.” And He gave them fatness.

God knew that most of the people of the world cared about just one thing – the physical beauty – of a person, rather than the beauty of their souls. So He made his favorites a little less attractive by appearance compared to others. He knew that only a few would now appreciate them, and like them for what they are. And that’s what happens to every fat person on earth. Only few realize the value of these people, and those who do, well, are lucky, because fat people are awesome!

And this is pretty much the story of fat people like me!
