A poem about the dark side of love.

When met in the fall
I still had up my wall
You slowly started to break through it
The only way was bit by bit

In spring you finally started to see
A cloud free sky, as clear as can be
I let you see my vulnerabilities
I didn’t know then, your devotion would cease

You went and turned my blue skies grey
All you wanted was for me to obey
Now I wish I had known, back when I let you in
The line between love and hate, is very thin
