Please if your a poetry writer please remember when writing poetry i dont care what anyone says it is the hardest thing to write. so first off
1. PLease be carefull with your first line of writing!!!!! why should i or anyone else read through it if the first line isnt even good. your first line is like the first page or even chapter of a novel.
2. The ending is just as important as the begining. It needs to either some up the emotion of the piece, draw a conclusion of the piece, or leave for interpertaion which can be enjoyable sometimes.
If your using stanzas it still apllies For you first LINE to be catchable, if you want the reader to want to read it.
IF your using stanzas then the ending can be different you dont need to end with the greatest ending line but the last stanza as a WHole must be well writen.
Anything in between is just icing.
-Now this is the hard part for people--- For most people writting dark and mundane things are way easier than writing happy and upbeat pieces.
sooo jjust remember you dont have to be dark to write dark just have a dark side. Also there are more words to describle how bad you feel then how good. Upbeat pieces that are GOOD are rare to com about but i have read some one this site.
The last couple lines are just things for you to think about.. your interpertaion if you will.
Also i have read some poems that give off 5 different emotions or so they tried---------trying to give off that many emotions in a poem doesnt work unless you are writing about havng to many emotions. try and concentrate on a one or a couple of emotions that you want to portray. Which will end up giving off a more powerfull sense of emotion through the few emotions than the many.
well this is all i have for now critize me all you want dont take anything from this---but iam just saying i keep reading these poems and they lack anything worth while to read. You may be thinking that my piece just sucks well thats ok i neer said that i was prefect. Just think before you write.
