Hi Booksians! Welcome to my first contest... in a while, at least!

I am sure that you've heard the reknowned saying that goes "a picture is worth a thousand words", typically used to express the significance of visual arts in telling stories. I have always used pictures, videos, or music as inspiration for my writing. Sometimes, when I'm having bad writers block, I will Google search something random or that I'd like to write about and once I find something that resonates with me - BOOM! I'm writing like wildfire!

I truly believe that a picture is worth a thousand words - more, a picture can tell a thousand stories. Such is my inspiration for this contest!

Below are a series of pictures that I've chosen at random for prompts. There are only fifteen, because I am only accepting a maximum of fifteen entries into the 1000 Words Contest. I want to make sure I can read everything thoroughly for judging!

To Enter comment below with the number corresponding to the photo that you'd like to use as your prompt, as well as the link to your entry! Whatever your prompt inspires you to write, it must be 1000 words or the closest that you can come to it.  Extra points are given to those entrants who get the word count right on the dot!

- Each prompt may only be used by one entrant - first come, first serve! I will update as prompts are selected by entrants.

- Your entry must have a 1000 word count - or as close as you can come.

- Any and all themes, genres, POVs, or content are accepted but your entry must be a short story.

- Your entry must reflect the prompt photo in some way. If you think it may be an obscure connection, just write your explanation in italicized text beneath your entry.

- Only fifteen entries will be accepted.
