Muskets fired and cannons boomed in the air. The Man in Grey fired his last round and looked up to see the Man in Blue. The Man in Blue Fired his final shot at the Man in Grey but missed.  The men charged at each other bayonets raised .Their blades clashed each strike more powerful than the next. The forces behind these blows were so strong that the steel had cracked and the blade was shattered. The Man in Grey dropped his bayonet and drew his sword, and proceeded towards the Man in Blue. The Man in Blue did the same. It was then that they realized they were the only men remaining on the field, both sides had retreated. Their eyes met .They raised their blades and charged again, no noise was made by either man, silence for the final blow, in sync their swords pierced their chests and both men fell to the ground, their bodies holding up one another.  The Man in Grey said to the Man in Blue “It was good to see you again...” to which the Man in Blue replied “it’s been far too long, Brother.” Blood trickled down from both men; the blood wasn’t grey or blue. It was red.
