Often times I found myself deep in thought. After awhile of thinking, I realized that it was as if I was chained down and I was unable to escape, or more likely, unable to ever be free. This little poem is one I wrote back in the 6th grade, and it's a bit short.

I want to fly.
Like birds in the sky.
Fly.

I want to be a bird,
Flying high in the sky.
Wings gently gliding overhead.

I want to fly.
Like an Eagle.
Or a Cardinal.

Wings of different colors,
Clashing with one and another.
I want people to sing about me,
How beautiful I am,
How gorgeous I look when I spread my feathers.

Instead,
I am me.
No wings,
No feathers.
Just me,
A young girl,
Unable to fly.
