WHY WALK AWAY (2)

BY RAINE CAROSIN

6/3/12

BOTH COMPLETED AT 5.52AM

Every Body has a chance

To walk – away

Every Body has a chance

To fight another day

But somebody

Will start a fight

And take your love away

And you won’t have the chance

To fight another day

So you fight

For the right

To avenge your love

Instead of praying

You start slaying

Till God says:  “ENOUGH!”

And Judgement comes

And you will read

The writing on the wall

You didn’t turn

Away from sin

You chose to fight them all

And sadly then

The writing pen

Will write no more

And tears will come

As you succumb

To your war

So now before you arm

Yourself

Against the world

Rather pray

To turn away

Before the Flag’s unfurled

And greet the chance

To walk away

And fight another day

When lines are drawn

And alliances sworn

To the One who made the Day

Don’t waste your time

On things sublime

Don’t take my love away

For I don’t know

Which way I’ll go

I may just go astray

And truly I

Don’t want to die

For things that do not last

I’d rather live

I’d rather give

Than be a useless blast

So turn and go

Watch what you so

And let me live with Love

So I can sing

Can take and bring

To my Lord enough

The praise for Light

He’s my Delight

And Love is all I have

Don’t start a fight

Or else I might

Start to misbehave

So please

Just stop the war

And put down all your arms

The reach for love

Made from Above

With smiles and forgiveness that balms
