I might as well smile,
Even through the tears,
The many nights I stay awake.

I might as well smile,
When my freind ask's me whats wrong,
And I answer with a shrug and fine.

I might as well smile,
When the worlds crashing down,
Crashing and burning all around me.

I might as well smile,
Even though I'm slowly dying,
Rotting away on the inside hidden behind my eyes.

I might as well smile,
Though fire burns my body,
Wildly flaring out of control.

I might as well smile,
As I see my crying face,
Reflected in the mirror.

I might as well smile,
But it's slipping off my face,
Replaced by sorrow's frown.
