In the depths of my mind I come across a treasure

It makes me re-evaluate that which I use to measure

As I open this chest and reveal the contents

I find nothing new yet nothing used

I found an emotion that I must learn how to use

I found the real meaning behind the word love and its use

I look forward to its high points and I crave its abuse

I’ve learned true anger and I’ve tasted ultimate peace

Some nights you’ve provided sleep endlessly other nights sleep escapes me

I’ve stumbled upon a dream that hasn’t yet come true or has it

Maybe I don’t need this dream to come true the dream itself has satisfied me

I don’t overlook the fact that you’re hear but in the future I want you to be there

Opening this chest I never realize my emotions have fears, joys and tears

This befell me when you walked past me, even when then the intentions where unclear

I choose to take the long way and you choose to still be here

In this chest I found a part of me that you unknowingly helped me find.
