Self-inflected hurt, confused as affection
Close your eyes and see the reflection
Restless nights spent with a blank expression
Prepare for the impact, the death of temptation

Would it matter... If I took this gun and aimed it at your face?
Would it matter... If I pulled the trigger and killed what's left of my faith?

Sewn mouth, this act of treason
Count your blessings and lose the reason
That tender touch that's always been beaten
The wastefulness of the blood that you've vowed on

Did you notice... How the razor melted when I tried to erase?
Did you notice... How I picked the scabs to feel your embrace?

She swore she would never open the jar
Scattering the chaos that has made the stars
She swore she would never take it that far
Senselessly beating the dusk's sky where her milestones are

Would you notice... If I kicked the chair that keeps me from the noose?
Would you notice... If the robe that's holding me has grown loose?

Inner struggle, inner hate
The only battle left is accepting fate
Manifest this pain that you helped create
Rekindle this lust that you could never separate

Did you notice... How I kept myself from burning you?
Did you notice... How my blue sky became subdued?

Entomb yourself, sink that ark
Not wanting to live this arc
All the bruises, the beatings of a clock
Shut your eyes and pray in the dark

Self-inflected hurt, confused as affection
Close your eyes and see the reflection
Inner struggle, inner hate
The only battle left is accepting Fate
