My vision blurs with time

It takes away the fault

Hides the truth and pain

I am just a one

That's how it's always been

I can't remember the time

I held someone and said

"I love you darlin', stay"

My memory shuns the past

Locked and put away

I am just a one

Curious of a two

I shut my door tonight

But evil made it through

Why am I just one?

Hiding and afraid

Your hearing dulls with time

Oblivious and plain

Hiding me, afraid

Hiding my truth and pain

Hiding what happened that day
