Hello again! Time for Vampire 101, and here's your teacher, Rayne! Here we go:

One: Vampires (full vampires) arn't born as vampires. They have to be bitten by another vampire in order to be turned.A vampire can't have a child with another vampire. They can have children with humans though.  Vampire + Human= Half Vampire (A.K.A. Kyle)

Two: Half vampires arn't as strong or fast as normal vampires. They also age normally untill they are seventeen, then they stop aging forever. And, depending on which half is dominat (vampire half or human half), the half-vamp may or may not need normal human things. Such as, they may or may not need sleep, human food, water, and they might or might not need vampire things like blood, and sunlight may or may not weaken them. Every half-vamp is different.

Three: Vampires almost never travel alone. Whether they are with their "soul mates" or just a large group of vampires, they will be together. The vamps that DO travel alone, are called "lone vampires". And most vampires fall in love easily with another vampire. No one knows why, they just do.

Four: To become a vampire, you not only have to be bitten by a vampire, but all of your blood has to be completely drained. So if a vamp JUST bites you, and does not take all of your blood, you won't become a vampire. And when someone is turned into a vampire, they have few physical changes. They become paler, their hair darkens, and depending on their diet, they become beautiful. (If they drink human blood, they become very attractive, if they drink animal blood, they look mostly the same) Vamps eye color remains the same as the color when they were human.

Five: In the "hunting state," vampires' eyes turn red (no matter what their diet is), and they can barly remamber what they did while hunting. (See chap 1 of "The Hunters") Without any restaint of controle, vampires will feed untill their thirst is quenched.

Six: Vampire hunters' eyes are golden. Vampire hunters also are very strong and fast, and wil kill any vampire that is a threat to humans. Hunter clans are like families, and live in remote locations away from other humans. (The Van Kife clan was one of the strongest Hunting clans in the U.S., and Amy's parent's were the leaders of the clan).

Seven: In a Hunting clan, the age of "maturaty" is 19. When a Hunter is nineteen, they go on there first "Kill Mission" (Different missions have different names. Kill Missions are when you are allowed to kill a vampire, no matter what.)

Now, those are the basics. If you have any questions, comments, or tips, please comment. And If you haven't read "The Hunters" yet, please do. Character Profiles coming soon! Bye bye for now! And remember, there might be a pop quiz, so study! -Rayne
