The outside world was so alive
Soon to arrive, the dark of night
Looking up at the stars from my room
Past the moon, and out of sight
Wishing i could hold just one star in my hand
But like time's falling sand, it would never last
I'e been here for a while, just writing on the wall
Until it all is washed away and the colors run
All my current work must now cease
As I start my new masterpiece, with new ink
I fill in the space, my new universe
The truth hurts, but faith will always heal
The scars will fade, but never go away
And everyday is a new chance to move forward
Don't turn back, you're almost there
Life may start to wear you down, but believe me, it's worth it.
