Bread Maker

A crown jeweled baker,
behind their iron-grated doors,
in the tower or cottages,
love their daily bread.

Inside the boulangers windows,
the smell of buttery bliss,
tickles the air,
of yeast, butter, and wheat.

Oh Bread Maker,
Give me a piece?
Please! I digress.

In that panivorous kingdom,
where the rolls always rise.
The panis excites us all,
as the kneading is through,
to a stone hot oven,
and a frothy dry heat,
as a quarter hour passes,
it gives us that earthly treat.

Oh Bread Maker,
Give me a piece?
Please! I digress.
