Run With The Bulls

On the Azores,
the evening was clear,
a glorious sunset to view,
soldiers rode a cab fifteen miles,
to a town's center aisles.

Leaving Lajes,
with Raminho the destination,
in the aisle sitting in full view,
were several large white crates,
what's inside, a great anticipation,

Keeper's attached large white ropes,
the bulls released in the streets,
n' local characters were their foe,
a mingle among the bulls,
n' running with the horns in tow.

Servicemen alike do partake,
no sideline service they see,
a leap of the white wall
to follow the great rope,
and run down those bulls they seek,

With horns a chasing,
the soldiers and locals full of strife,
its a daily occurrence for the latter,
to celebrate their life,
when in the running of the bulls.
