what is a stick? read on to find out....
Oh and you may wonder why i write such strange and miscellaneous things, but there's no reason; sorry!

When people hear the word stick, they often associate it to the wooden twig, which is a thin-medium sized branch of a tree.

This is not so.

There are many different kinds of sticks that have been identified over the span of the last 20 000 000years. We are focusing on the three main kinds in this report.

Type 1.

The Twig/ Natural stick comes from mother nature. They generally grow off trees and bushes, but are sometimes known to float around in the water. Water-floaters have been named Driftwoodus Mortemius, which is often shortened to Driftwood. These are the most common stick, found everywhere in the world. They can be of any shape, size and colour; or come from any tree.

Type 2.

The Man-Made Stick can be purchased from factories and shops again, from all around the world. This stick has been made in a factory (you rarely find homemade ones anymore) and is commonly used as a broom*, an aid for walking* or anything else for that matter. Just as common as Type 1, the Man-Made Stick is a popular toy/ tool as well as being used in other ways. The Man-Made Stick is popularly made out of metal, wood or plastic but has been known to be made out of gas, water, ice etc.

Type 3.

The Tool stick is used to help animals and humans alike, with work or play. Chimpanzees use these to crack open nuts, and humans use similar. Usually made from Type 2 (Man-Made Stick), the Tool, looks very much similar to the Man-Made Stick, it's big brother.

Sticks are fascinating objects that lie all over our globe. Let's not make them extinct, and keep them with us for future genrations!

*=See Type 3., also used as a beating stick, cane, or the strap.
