Ali's Discovery

As soon as her feet gently stepped on the damp cobble stones the soles of her shoes were completely soaked. The icy water had appeared from the ceiling above; Ali could hear the dripping from each corner. As Ali looked at the rough stone walls she could see many peculiar carvings. They all looked like scared faces. Suddenly a horrid stench filled the air, Ali crinkled up her nose.

Quietlyshe walked around feeling the jagged walls. Onceshe got back to the creepy wooden door sheglanced at the back... there were hundreds of scratches; they looked like deep, desperate scratches from human nails! Ali looked in disgust at the terrible sight. Then once again Ali thoroughly examined the room from top to bottom. Abruptly the horrid smell got stronger therefore making Ali hold her nose. She couldn't stand the ghastly smell that she could feel edging down her throat.

Ali's feet were beginning to feel numb. Carefully she began to look over everything she had found making sure that there was nothing she had missed because this was truly a remarkable discovery.
