A little thing that we call fate,

Crept up and gripped me tight,

And all that I loved, and all that I knew,

Left me alone at night.

It was the night you left me here,

I woke up dazed and lost,

And all that I loved, and all that I knew,

Had left me at no cost.

I tell myself that it's alright,

A phase and nothing more,

And all that I loved, and all that I knew,

Wouldn't leave me like before.

But soon I'd realise the truth,

That sometimes fate is destiny,

And all that I loved, and all that I knew

Had, really, truly, left me.
