Now that I have your attention,

Perhaps I can start to explain.

That my heart's only intention,

Was just turning me insane.

Independent, I've always been.

Thinking I was wise and sure.

Relationships that I'd seen,

Built my standards even more.

Just when I thought I was stable,

That everything would be fine,

Your presence made me unable

To send a normal sign.

And so you started messing with

My head, and that was that.

I wasn't sure how I could give,

That one part that you lacked.

And she could surely make it good,

Why, much better than me!

She'll love you like no one could,

She's EVERYTHING, you see.

So call me jealous, if you will.

I fell right in this mess.

But all the flrting, and the talk,

Fooled me, I confess.
