If you were stuck on an island would you rather be alone or with all of your school enemies? You can always trick your “enemies” into thinking you like them so that you can take advantage and get yourself off the island (or later eat them when you can’t find any food). However, if you would rather be alone, then this essay is not directed towards you.

For those of you who would rather be around others than alone, traditional schooling is definitely more suited for you compared to online schooling. As an aspiring journalist, I am always advised to network, network and network! This is not just for students in the mass communications field, but almost any field. That weird looking girl you sit next to every day in Bio may be the one person who gets you your dream job as a foot fungus doctor in the best foot fungus clinic.

You may be lazy or you may not like sitting for long but traditional schooling is truly much better than online schooling. Other than networking, you also have better chances of getting to know your teachers. This could lead to necessary recommendations (another form of networking). You may also meet your future husband or wife in class (this could possibly be a little safer than meeting them on the internet). Also you can’t hear teachers’ corny jokes through a computer.

These are some reasons why traditional schooling is much better than online schooling. Furthermore, employers look for more than just your knowledge in your field, but also your interpersonal skills. Like many older people say, “sometimes it’s not what you know, but who you know.” You definitely cannot network through a computer screen.
