The sun greets us all,
Shining down her warmth on us,
Fluffy clouds crawled slowly across the sky,
And the forest was awake.
Earth, sky and sun,
We are all connected,
The birds twittered,
The leaves rustled.
Then in the distance,
A giant ball of red appeared,
It spread like lightning,
Grabbing everything in its path,
Wreaking havoc across the forest.
And when it was all over,
The forest groaned in pain.
It looked like Death had walked across the land,
The forest was gone,
Ravaged by the fire,
Nothing was left,
Except for the black ashes,
That would cover the land forever.

Very Good. But truly sad. I'm so sorry for your counties despair. There is another Austrailian writer on booksie. Her name is 13ubbles. Please read her thoughts about the fires, and welcome to booksie.
