Respect women. They don't need sympathy but they need respect and love.

What do you think we were?

A toy you played with when little you were.

When you had mood you played with it,

And threw it when you done with it.

Don't you think we were humans, too?

Don't you think we had feelings, too?

This is our message to everyone-

"We don't need your sympathy or your candles after we were raped.

We need your love and respect before you put us in bags,

And threw us in the hashtags.

Like Huh! Today's job is done,

Tomorrow, there will be another one.

Don't think that it's not your problem,

If you don't care, it's gonna be one."

A very serious topic. I liked how you compared a victim to a doll. Great metaphor.

I like your metaphors, and the fact that you made this poem without any useless violence. Also, I think that you did mean paedophiles and children, just not a mature raped woman.

Really You have done a great job ...there is acute pain prevails in your poem...and your selection of subject is too good...because we always want to choose romantic one...but few choose such thing ..i really liked this one carry on my friend !!!

There is one thing I want to share with you..
That the mentality is the key factor in such cases...people are too advanced now they don't have any respect for their how can the respect the women? I know all are not as I said but the generation in which we live there must have a lack of morality as far as the majority is concerned.... I hope we all put our hands together to find out a way in such cases...Thank you ????

This is excellently done, REFRACTOR. From the doll symbolism to the desire not for pity but for respect. There needs to be a very fundamental shift in attitudes for things to change -- with poems that this perhaps there is a slim hope that the necessary change might one day occur.

I think slim is better then nothing. Thank you so much for giving it a read. It means a lot to me.

You tackled a difficult subject there Refractor. And a hint that the police still have a lot to learn in the treatment of victims. Usianguke

Extremely serious choice of topic which I applaud your decision to shine light on. Incredible words to spread your message, not to mention that the message itself is a powerful one. Well done.

More people should read this poem. Subject matter alone, no one ever wants to speak about. Talk about it for there to be change.
