We come bursting

up through the loam!

Fiddleheads strumming

Springs first sustained refrains.

Was this Vivaldis muse?

Now roots

are stretching,

running wildly

in all directions at once.

How could you forget

the glory of being?

The resplendent

grace of Ra’s rays

ravishing stalk, stem and leaf.

The forest floor

is in full symphony,

each field in flame

with the fires of a million

sunsets forgotten.
