I'd love to tell you

just how perfect life is

How the holocaust never happened

and how evil never wins

I'd love to explain

how I understand everything in life

how no one will ever judge you

and how none of us have reason to ask why

But those would be filthy lies.

I'd love to give a logical demonstration

as to everyone is sure to find

our reason to live life

how people never really die

But I don't want to lie to you.

I wish I didn't have to lie.

To say we all soar with everything the very first time we try

But once again, I'd have to lie.

No one ever feels alone

there isn't pain in broken homes

we all see the light at the end of the tunnel

and true beauty always shows

But we all know

deep inside,

It is the lies

we love to believe

and we find hope

in these lies that we see

It is your choice weather or not to believe these lies I've told you.
