Summary

This is a poem about my passion for the cello. It expresses how easy it is for me to forget everything around me and only hear what is there. It also expresses how it feels to get lost in the notes on the page.

    The silence of the crowd,

But only for a second,

The sounds bellow out,

A simple melody.

The softness of a breeze,

The loudness of a storm,

It confesses,

And speaks.

The notes,

They hold me tight.

Like the warmth,

Of caring arms.

It takes me to a place,

Where there's no one else but me,

In the center of my mind,

The part that's truly me.

Nothing else matters,

But the notes apon the page,

In my mind,

I choose to stay.
