They stood there staring at one another, weapons drawn, both contemplating who will strike first. All you could see was the glowing steel in their hands from the torches surrounding them, being the only form of light within the stone prison. Screams could be heard all around them as if people were right next to them. It was a Knight facing Death, the man stood there with a smirk on his face, he held in his hands a scythe. The Knight kept a straight face, his sword to his side, he waited for Death to strike first.
Within seconds Death grabbed the Knights neck, then threw him into the wall opposite of them, as if he weighed nothing. The Knight began to rise but Death with great speed and power kicked him into the wall once again. Laughter now was heard from those voices coming from nowhere. Death stabbed him before he arose again and lifted him as the Knight held onto Deaths arm. His blood slowly ran down the handle of the scythe, agony filled his body, Death took him.
He fell to the stone floor clutching his chest, every heartbeat becoming slower and slower. He could see the legs of men standing behind the bars to his cell waiting for his death. He lay there, eyes open, and exhaled his last breath; Death took him. The guards outside his cell came in and took the prisoners body away. They later threw him into the furnace so that the prison can stay warm during the winter to come.
