*Can’t find love*
I’ve been looking up.
I’ve been looking down.
You could say I’ve been all around.
I’ve been to the brightest places.
I’ve even been to the dark places.
Even though I still can’t seem to find what I’m looking for.
Could it be, that it doesn’t exist?
Is love really out there?
Or is it something we invent in our minds.
The thought that almost everything is perfect when we’re in love,
Haunts most of us.
We search for this feeling in the most absurd places.
We try and get close to the first person,
Who shows any sign of affection.
We try way too hard to spark old relationships.
They didn’t work the first time, so why are we so desperate for them?
It’s that same thought of happiness that drives us to be unhappy.
It’s the thought of happiness that can change who we are.
We try to hard,
One day when love comes around in the simplest of forms,
We’ll overlook it and won’t accept it;
Because finding love can’t be that easy in our mind.
