Stripes at Midnight

His fur suits the color of the snow.
His stripes stand out, his blue eyes glow.
He only stalks at the gloomiest of night.
He goes incognito at the break of light.
His roar conveys fright to all who heed.
His beauty portrays mercy to those that plead.
He is the beast that they seem to fear.
He brings a presence that none can hear.
The midnight rises, as does the cold,
The tiger’s stripes, as rare as gold.
