This is a pre-Christmas kind-of poem that I wrote. It actually has nothing to do with me or anyone I know, but its short and simple, but it paints a picture of how I think Christmas in the big city would look...beautiful even when your all alone.

Christmas lights of red, green, and gold,

glow cheerful big and bright,

Blinking through the snow falling on the ground,

in the city's boulevard's and rows.

People scamper in and out stores,

to excape the blustery night,

Running past doors covered with the holiday's,

ribbons, trimmings, and bows.

Music surrounds me to play,

merry jingles in my ear,

Songs I have heard again and again,

but never seem to grow old.

Maybe if I werent all alone,

I'd have the season's love, joy, and cheer,

Maybe this evening would be so much warmer,

if I had someone's hand to hold.
