People will do anything,

To attain their own pleasure,

Once they've had it they can't get enough,

So goes on their foul endeavor.

***

Clinging bodies through the night,

The liquor starts to flow,

Long lines of white power,

And great big clouds of smoke.

***

Who'd have imagined we'd come this far,

To be corrupted and obscure,

Stubbornly rejecting anything,

That is good, true, and pure.
