Rusty strings of the guitar,

Lay cold and long untouched,

Waiting, longing, for the days,

When they might again be clutched.

Drumsticks used ages ago,

Sit collecting dust,

Drumming a beat in silence,

only to be captive in a basement of dark and must.

Keys of the grand piano,

Stand shallow and untuned,

Eagerly hoping for littler hands,

To come up and play them soon.

This is a band of broken, shattered, and forgotten music,

Begging to play a final tune,

Oh how they are eagerly hoping for littler hands,

To come up and play them soon.
