QUICK INFO ABOUT HAMMURABI'S CODE
In the babylon empire, lots of crime took place. Hammurabi, the third, and maybe the best, king of the Babylon Empire. Have you ever heard of the saying, "Eye for an Eye"? That commonly used catch phrase came from the roots of Hammurabi's code. To stop crime, Hammurabi designed a code filled with a amazingly 282 laws. Written with all of the punishments, the code was read by every citizen in the Babylon empire. In that empire, a population of about 1 million people. Although, the code really changed things. All crime commited was either death, or fines. Not "Return what you stole" or "Fix what you broke". Hammurabi, making himself the most civilized ancient empire that lasting untill 1800 Circa B.C.E. with information at its best. We too can change crime quickly, one law at a time.
