More Life

I want experience.

I want some time in the field.

I want the most out of everything.

I want my labor to yield good fruits for the harvest

to fill belies and hearts.

I want people to know that I got a heart.

Sometimes I feel like I'm lacking.

Sometimes I feel like I'm dying.

Maybe that's what happens when you put all your faith in the mind.

I want more life.

I want the most out of everything.

I want the grapes from the vine.

I want more life.

I want the finest of simple things

I want the sweetest of wine

I want more life.

"I know my children aren't affectionate."

That's what my mother said

When I came downstairs on Mother's Day and scratched my head.

I'd brought the gifts late

but she took them anyway.

The love I get from her could push all storms away.

Life gets dark.

It gets black like a new moon.

Obstacles block your way, monsoons and typhoons.

The Earth will swallow you whole and never spit you out.

Life will grind your bones to dust without a single sound.

And still I want more.

I want the light that comes after.

I want the rainbows, the sunshine, the fairytale platter.

You could serve it all to me.

The sweet downs and bitter ups,

and at the end of it all I'll still raise my cup and cry

More Life.
