Circle Spiral Cycle

If you’re not taken with the present, not enamoured by it as it passes.

If you don’t want it to stay with you in a perpetual cycle of now, or wish that each moment would take a day to elapse.

If you have no urge to open your pores and let it breath into your being and become one with your heart, then what a terrible waste the past will become.

But take care.

For if you do love the present with your life and your soul.

If you do wish it would stay forever in an ambient state of instantaneous circumstance, and bathe around you as an eternal shimmering lake of calm sunlight and celestial reflections, then take heed.

For if the present you adore looks to the past for its pleasure and seldom glances to the future for inspiration, then life’s cycle will always be a diminishing spiral, and not an embellishing circle.
