I must confess that I only used 'causeway' 'cos it rhymed.
Hope it's in context anyway!

SUNLIGHT ON THE CAUSEWAY

The sun is sleeping on the job

As winds, they have a field day

The rain flows mainly down the pane

And clouds allow no leeway

So sprinting like a wayward child

I duck inside a doorway

Tomorrow will be warm and mild

With sunlight on the causeway
