THE PLACE THEY NEVER MET
(RACE WITH A RAINDROP)

A single drop


Of summers' rain


Begins a solitary plight

Heading for the city


Down through the blue


With all of its liquid might


In cool pursuit...

Meanwhile, a man..

l


o


w

With similar aim


Is racing through crowds
Disecting queues
Hurling his legs around corners
Colliding with ladies and bags

The raindrop gaining speed.....

As gravity aids it's plunge
The ground fast approaches!!


And all of the while..

The man in frantic haste
Clumsily tumbles!
Sprawls on the cobbles!
As flowers fly!!

The tingle of a kiss

Upon her luscious lips

Her date, an hour late

She stands,

Then walks,


Away......
