I wrote this in my teens (no, not last year!)
Written at a bus stop in the rain, as I recall.
My parents always liked this one. Hope you do too.

TOWN LIFE

Mind-bending loads

On un-ending roads

Which are twisting and turning

Hoping and yearning

For quieter days

Security lights

On dark misty nights

Dotted on houses

With light which arouses

A happier mind

Frustrated muscles

Weary leg shuffles

A bus queue comotion

Late locomotion

Three minutes past time

Traffic confusion

Car-fume polution

The hurry machines

In scurrying scenes

No time to slow down
