Alan Grier wakes up in his office desk. the papers spread around fall on the floor from his sudden burst of energy. His boss looks at him and walks over. "Alan, are you alright? I've never seen you so..." he fumbles for the words. Alan speaks up "Something has been bothering me lately, it's most likely my mind though." The boss nods and seems satisfied. He walks away and Alan sighs.

Alan's wife, Gina, gets ready for a normal day at work but stops and calls in sick. A car pulls up in the driveway. She smiles and looks at her phone; 1 MESSAGE RECIEVED. She opens it, "Gonna be late from work. Heading out with the guys. Love you Lots." She bites her lip and answers the door.

6 hours later. Alan leaves the bar. He staggers a little but decides to drive home. Alchohol has never impaired his driving. His speech, yes but his driving, not so much. He arrives home at a quarter to 1 A.M. He spots the yellow camaro in the driveway and figures Gina has a friend over. He steps up to the door like normal but stops and decides to go around to the back. He has no idea what makes him do so but he does.

Alan appears at the back window. He peers in and smiles thinking he would find his wife asleep. The smile disappears as he listens closer and stares more. The drapes make it hard to see but the shadow's movements are unmistakable. As he stares more, the moans and groans of his Wife become louder and louder. Alan backs away.

He heads to his car and sits inside it. He lays his head on the wheel, his eyes tearing, his heart dropping and his thoughts stopping. He screams. It breaks the silence like a bullet. He looks at the garage and wieghs his options. 'I could divorce...nah, it would be too expensive. Not like my job makes me that much'. Then it dawns on him. He rolls down the window and throws his wedding ring in the gutter.

Alan makes his way to the shed and stops one more time at the window. He hears his wife speak "you're much better than my husband, he'd rather...." Her voice disappears as he walks again. The hinges squeek on the shed slightly as the door opens. He shuts the door and looks around. His drunken mind making movie music come on in his head. he giggles. 'silly me..this isn't a movie...damn, i'm taking this well.' He checks his watch. 2:45. 'Shit, forgot my meds....oh well'. He hums to himself.

Having forgotten to take his meds, he remembers why he took them in the first place, to keep from 'going batshit' as his doctor said. Alan thinks 'well...schizophrenia shouldn't be too bad. as long as i stay logical. so murder...shouldn't be needed' He shuts his eyes for a second and re opens them upon hearing a cackle. "you are so wrong, Jacky boy". Alan pales a second. 'Jacky boy? it can't be'. "Oh yes it can, I'm back". A man with short dark hair appears. He has a scar on his left cheek and a sly smile. His black trenchcoat shows his chest covered in various  tatoos of the demonic. His boots make a loud thud with every step and the fabric of his jeans rub together.

'Drake...welcome back?' Alan thinks outwardly. Drake laughs again "Good to be back. Now, let's get to business, seems like you have woman troubles". Alan shuts his eyes again 'No, you're just my brain. No more real then a dream'. "Oh, i'm very real Jacky boy". Drake touches Alan's shoulder. "So real, i'm practicaly...you". More laughter from him. I know you want revenge. Might i suggest the chainsaw". Alan smiles 'To mob cliched. wait, what the shit am i saying. No, no murder.' "But you want it. you crave it. You already threw the ring away, finish the job." Alan thinks and checks the watch 3:15. "Time is running out." and with that Drake disappears.

A flood of emotions surround Alan, then the image of his wife. He starts to cry again and he looks for the closest thing. A power drill with a 9/16 drill bit. half an inch. Drake appears again and whispers into his ear. "Go". Alan starts to walk to the house.

He sneaks in quietly, no doubt his wife not caring where he was. He runs the drill bit against the wall leaving scratches in the paint. He sees Drake running ahead, laughing loudly and maniacally. "Do it Jacky! I know you want too!" and he disappears around the corner. Alan turns also and sees his wife embraced around the guy. they don't see Alan as the extacy builds. Alan screams and revs the drill. It spins fast having a new battery in it. Gina screams and jumps up. Alan tackles the man as he falls off her and thrusts the spinning bt into his cheek. The guy screams in pain as rage fills in Alan's eyes. He reverses the bit as his wife screams at him to stop.

He lifts the drill up and plunges it into the guy's eye, the bit digging deeper into his skull. The blood chilling screams stop with a loud crack and a squish. Alan pulls the bit out forcefully, bits of eye and bran coming with. Gina vomits, Drake laughs more and claps. "Doesn't that feel good, Alan? the pure....Impulse of it. Almost orgasmic".

Gina begs Alan to stop and cries. giving promises of redemption. Alan almost beleives her. Drake walks in "she lies, she will continue her adultery until she lies dead in a gutter, and you know this". His voice echoes in Alan's head. He revs the drill twice. Gina cries more and continues her begs. Alan just smirks and whispers. "I love you". Gina gets a confused look before he revs the drill again and puts it into her belly button. Her skin tears and blood starts to spray. She screams but he shoves his arm into her mouth. It comes out as a muffle. The blood feels warm on Alan's hand as he reverses the drill, pulling it out slowly to increase pain. Gina's eyes close as he drills in through her temple. The screaming stops. There is only silence. Drake smiles and disappears, along with Alan's sanity.

THREE MONTHS LATER

There is no funeral. No one even knows they are dead. Alan tell everyone his wife is out of town. For the first time, he slept good. Alan's boss shows up at his office a few hours after getting to work. "say Alan, you look great. Anything new happen"? Alan looks at the skull on his desk holding his pencils. He smiles. "Oh, going to med school now. Getting a new thing on life". His boss smiles. "Good. We are gonna miss you." He walks out and Drake walks in. "Med school. not bad. He notice the skull?" 'No, and everyone thinks it's fake.' "pity, you can so tell it was once the woman you loved". 'Keyword there Drake, is loved'
