Crazy

Strange

Abnormal

Annoying

They don't understand

It keeps me alive

I have to do something

Something to remind me how to feel

Colors are more vibrant

Sounds vibrate through my body but I don't hear them

I don't hear anything

I don't feel anything

This is as close as an escape as I can get now

Every high had a low

Nothing lasts long enough

The happiness doesn't linger

The memories don't stay

They come in bursts

Flashes

Glimpses

I'm lost

Floating

Swirling

Drowning

Flying

They don't understand

All they see is

Annoying

Abnormal

Strange

Crazy

Bert Broomberg

Great poem. You highlighted some aspects of depression really well. Going all the way around again with the word crazy is a good symbol of the circularity of the problem of despression. Good job.
