My mask is cracking,
Emotions unseen,
Are being shown to the world,
Ones that I do not want,
Ones that I hide.
They're ugly.
…I'm ugly.
My mask is cracking,
Releasing a drop,
That splatters on the cracked surface,
Showing my depths,
Showing my hatred,
Showing myself detest.
They're ugly.
…I'm ugly.
I don't want people to see,
I want a clean slate,
But those outside,
Keep breaking my mask.
Soon those cracks will enter,
My soft, protected skin,
Causing red to mar the white,
And beauty will be shown,
Like a red, red rose.
I'll fall to the ground,
The red marring the white,
My mask will shatter,
And my spirit will fly,
As the red mars the water,
Of the splattered drops.

Thank you, this one was actually a very old one that I wrote years ago and I found it in my storage. It's basically how I felt through years of abuse and acting like a happy person almost everyday
