Another quick poem

Raven, my dear Raven
Come forth and kiss my parched lips
Show me who you are
Show me what you want
Surely it isn’t just me
That would be easy,
And nothing in life is
You seem so perfect,
From my view on the ground
How silly I must look
In your eyes
Waving fearfully
And hugging my hopes to my chest
Could I grow to love you?
Could I learn to take flight?
Leave all my sorrows and pointless fears
Far below
On tainted ground
Oh Raven,
Just give me hours
Let me be brushed by your wings
I will not run
I will stand strong
And let go of my
Childish
Fearful
Ways
I will morph into a lovely songbird
Just give me time
And
Oh, Raven
My thoughts are racing
I don’t want to bid you
Goodnight
