Nobody’s Child

Anciently-aged uprising,

Blindfold your eyes, watch you crumbling down,

Forcibly, through my sadness,

Place your misguided faith in a sinner’s hand.

I offer but false forgiveness,

Give me your all, I will promise my love,

Listen to all my madness,

Through fear alone I can save us all.

Just hear them getting dark for you,

Can’t you hear them call your name?

There’s clearly nothing left for you,

Fade away, it’s just the same from here.

You’re calling the wrong name.

Expertly aimed at terror,

Branded with shame, make you nobody’s child,

Trust me to lead you further,

Left dangling over the torturer’s name,

Evermore condemnation,

Carry my name through the shadows we’ll crawl.

Only you’re here to blame now,

You’re coming with me when, disgraced, I fall.
