Ruin's Kiss

Fools of midnight in legionaire,
Cringe in black from raven's stare,
While, waiting in their endlessness,
The hours fleet deranged, alone.

Silence burns with a haunting glare,
With hurt that none has known as there,
A veil of coal shows only this,
As it smoulders darkened, scarred alone,
In the eyes of one left torn apart.

Shades of grey move in graceless years,
Sneering torment of a blackened tear,
The blank restraints from ruin's kiss,
A soul left stranded, stained, alone.
